Heritage Grandeur
Hargate is a beautifully restored city mansion, built between
1900 and 1903 in the gracious Queen Anne Federation style,
by a Mr Joseph Humphreys, as his family home.
Set within a large seasonal garden and providing breathtaking
300 degree views over the heritage city and lush river valley of Launceston, Tasmania, Hargate displays unique and impressive architectural features and enjoys a delightful history.
In recognition of its significant and authentic place in the architectural heritage of both Tasmania and Australia, Hargate was registered with the National Trust of Australia and the Tasmanian Heritage Council in 1979 and awarded a Launceston City Council Heritage Recognition Award in 2008 for it's detailed renovation.
“ What an experience ! Your home is delightful and your hospitality and warmth incredible! ”
